All of this took place while sitting at the window of the 16th floor overlooking the entire city-fabulous! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone-even if you are not staying at the hotel. The meal was delicious-we all agreed one of the best we have ever had. The wine list was beyond impressive-compiled and full catalogued along with the menu on an ipad delivered to each guest. A haven for foodies and a dream for any wine afficionado. Good but a quadruple bypass waiting to happen! We also had reservations at Irridecense restaurant on the 16th floor of the hotel Saturday evening. We ate lunch at "The Lodge Diner " when we arrived on Saturday where I was exposed to my very first (and last) classic American chicken and waffle. The rooms were clean and well appointed with great city views. The hotel itself had excellent staff from the moment we arrived-Stephanie at the front desk and the valets were more than hospitable. It really is an interesting focal point being massive and completely illuminated in rainbow colours smack dab in the middle of the run down abandoned streets of Detroit. Motor City seemed like the perfect choice. We were looking for something close to Ford Field as well as the highway. My first trip to Detroit-two couples travelling together for a Lions game.
